Dreaming in Blue and Purple
Framed ink jet prints.

In 2011-2016 I worked with an artistic research project at Lund University concerning visualization techniques in medical research and healthcare and I was particularly interested in functional MRI (fMRI). Central to the visualization process of the information from an MRI scanner is a so-called Fourier transform in which all information is sorted along x and y axes - image constructions that are intended to be read by computers and not humans. In this new series of images, I have been inspired by my work in Lund and produced images using a Fourier transform but in the other direction. Images intended for internal computer processes but to the human eye mysterious and almost spiritual in nature.
