Swedish Numerology consists of comparative data and statistics over the transformation of the Swedish welfare state into a neoliberal utopia. The Swedish welfare system is being methodically dismantled with tax cuts and privatization, and whilst the country's wealth is redistributed to the 1%, attention is focused on the comparatively small costs of accepting refugees, as if the costs of normal humanitarian behaviour would be the cause for cuts in healthcare, education, public transport and other infrastructure.

During the Covid-19 pandemic it became extremely evident what happens when you entrust public safety to private businesses. In 1993 Sweden had 4300 intensive care units with respirators, but in 2019 the number was down to 526. When quarterly reports are all that matter it is not profitable to provide safety just in case of some hypothetical crisis.
