Burja

Originally constructed for Kosovelov Dom in Sežana, the installation is inspired by the work of Slovene modernist, constructivist poet Srečko Kosovel (1904-1926), who was born in Sežana. Kosovel left an important modernist legacy behind even though dying at the early age of 22.
The installation Burja consists of a four channel digital simulation of autumn sky and a stereo sound that is evoking the gushing characteristics of the bora winds (Slovene: burja) so typical for the region, as well as sampling fragments of Kosovel's poetry.
